Overlock machines (also called serger or interlock machines) trim the fabric edge and sew over it in one pass. Instead of a bobbin they use loopers, and a pair of knives trims the edge. We stock parts for the most common models:

Tell us the thread count. 3-, 4- and 5-thread versions of the same machine often use different presser feet, needle plates, feed dogs and needle clamps.
The upper and lower loopers carry the looper threads around the edge; 5-thread (safety stitch) machines also have a chain looper. A moving upper knife and a fixed lower knife cut the edge like scissors. Fraying, uneven or chewed edges mean the knives are dull. Replace or sharpen them as a pair.
